“International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS) endorsement course”

Radiosurgery and functional disorders have a long common history. When Lars Leksell, in the first ’50s, conceived the radiosurgery approach he certainly had in mind the treatment of such disorders and also probably one of the oldest papers about radiosurgery reports about the radiosurgical treatment for trigeminal neuralgia.
As a matter of fact, to date, the literature evidences support the role of radiosurgery management of
trigeminal neuralgia, tremor, oncological pain and epilepsy.
Indication, results and perspectives will be debated today.
